Approach

Koddi designed Sponsored Push to operate within a defined flight window (e.g., “week of 1/27/25”), giving advertisers a promotional moment to lean into. These can be especially key moments: during the Super Bowl, before Valentines Day, or any other time where consumers might be more inclined to act on a notification. Delivery of these Sponsored Push notifications is governed by device-level system logic, meaning users receive notifications when they’re most likely to engage. 

When Koddi launched the first campaign with an advertiser and commerce media network, keeping these campaigns extremely targeted was paramount. Key campaign parameters included:

  • Audiences: For the purpose of the first campaign, Koddi defined a specific age group, targeted users who had previously purchased a certain CPG category, and selected those who had push notifications enabled.
  • Geography: Campaigns were limited to key states likely to generate a conversion, with broader states targeted for reach.
  • Creatives: To make launch seamless, advertisers were given a defined set of campaign guidelines, balancing both unique messaging with best practices.
