It’s been said that if you want to really get to know someone, you should travel together. Last week, our team put that theory into action as we journeyed to Hilton Head Island for a three-day offsite. Although all our offices often meet together virtually, this was the first time in Koddi history that employees from Fort Worth, Ann Arbor, New York and Düsseldorf came together in person for a week of sharing, learning and celebrating.

For many of us, it was the first time meeting team members in real life that we had previously only interacted with on conference calls or Slack. It was amazing to see how much our team has grown in the last year as we all stood together in the same room for the first time. We heard from our co-founders as they shared what we have achieved over the last six months, the vision for Koddi’s future, and how we can get there.

Our agenda was filled with team building activities, keynotes, happy hours and free time to experience all that Hilton Head had to offer. The Omni Hilton Head Resort provided many activities for the team to enjoy such as golfing, kayaking, yard games, swimming and access to the beach.

Together we weathered long bus rides, sunburns, and a two-hour fire alarm in the middle of the night. We shared stories, made new memories, and left inspired and renewed with energy and a shared vision. I think we also proved that travel really does bring people together.
